Your paranormal experiences

I would love to hear my readers' paranormal experiences. Sadly, I had to remove the contact form from this page, as it was being abused by spammers, and will not post an email address for fear of similar abuse. But if you have a genuine paranormal experience that you would like to share, you can still do so in confidence, by leaving a comment detailing your experience. You can leave your comment anonymously, if you wish. Comments only appear here after blog owner approval, so if you leave your name, but don't want your comment published, please specify this in your comment, and I'll respect your wishes. I would like to publish an article about experiences submitted by readers, but will leave out all personally identifiable information, if you ask me to. Please note that I'm only interested in genuine experiences. I have a good nose for detecting a ruse! I look forward to hearing from you.

I can give you a couple. Both of these have been detailed by me elsewhere, so I'll just post links. I've had other, less extreme, ones, but these are the two most extreme and well documented cases.

Number 1, a metallic orb I experienced, with a photograph and analysis

In this thread our "haunting" of a previous residence is discussed

We also have audio of some of the strange goings-ons at the apartment detailed in the second link which we've never posted. Nothing so amazing, but footsteps around the place while we were sleeping, and windows slamming, etc.

I think part of the explanation for having such experiences is having lived in older houses, generally from the last 1800's. Doesn't explain the first one, but it might explain the second, if you're prone to believing in hauntings of older houses.

Thanks for sharing, Dustin. That second experience is quite chilling. Terrifying, in fact. I don't think I could have stayed in a place where such things happened. I've heard of many a haunting starting out as a benevolent one, before things start to turn nasty. It makes me wonder if the benevolent phase is just to lull someone into a false sense of security, or if the benevolent entity somehow opens up a pathway that allows something malevolent to come through, as well.

One thing that I now tend to tie into other phenomenon(perhaps the "trickster" idea) is the portals that have been seen in the haunting location. We saw two during the time we were there, and apparently others did too. That's when really bad things happened, each time. I think there's a distinct tie in to the Hunt for the Skinwalker book I recently reviewed. Although, of course, I didn't know that at the time, since the book hadn't even been released yet!

I think I'll have to do a short blog write up on my thoughts about that, now that I think about it.
